Challenge

The erection of the prototype proved the stability of the construction; however, mass production and the autonomous erection by the buyer would not be possible; too many different steel parts and special assembly tool would have been required.

 Our Target

The concept for the «Happy Home» should be a solid and modular construction that could easily be expanded. The house “grows” with the family.

Additionally, we should ensure that no special tools or electricity are required. The construction must be simple and “self-explaining” like the IKEA principle.

Solution

With a pipe laser cutting machine we cut the steel pipes according to the CAD plan of the basic module. All windows and doors are standardized and can be placed as requested within the framework.

The assembly instruction will be supplied along with the parts.

Thanks to the blind rivet nuts; steel pipes can be connected with a screw, which requires a hex wrench only.
